I’ve often thought about the value of my work – as I’m sure we all do.

Early in my career it was all about the details. It was the “things” I could create and the enjoyment I found in the hours spent getting the details just right.

I sometimes miss the simplicity of those days but, with the benefit of hindsight, I understand that the true value of our work is only fully expressed when we put it out into the world.

That’s when we know if our late nights and sacrifices have delivered disproportionate value, or if they were purely a labour of love. Ideally, though not always, it checks both boxes.

The only way you’ll know, is to ship it now – not when YOU think it’s perfect.
